This well-known active substance has long been used in foods, medications and cosmetics. In cosmetic products, its task is mainly to cool, refresh or support a particular effect.

Glycolic acid features a particularly high absorption capacity. The molecules of this fruit acid (AHA) are smaller than the comparable fruit acids, which means that its peeling effect is highly intensive. It obtains excellent results in the case of severe keratinization, and pronounced lines and wrinkles. It occurs in various plants (e.g. grapes, sugar beets, rosemary, etc.).

As well as its peeling effect, Tartaric Acid provides an astringent and anti-comedogenic effect. It therefore obtains excellent results for a more even complexion in the case of skin that is prone to blemishes and large pores. It also occurs naturally in all parts of the vine plant (e.g. in the fruit and leaves of the vine), as well as in dandelion, pineapple and other plants.
